Second Blessings Consignment

Second Blessings Consignment (SBC) sale offers you the opportunity to clean out your closets and attics and turn your child's outgrown clothing and gently used items into quick cash. Consignors must prepare their items as outlined below and bring them to the advertised sale location during designated drop off hours. The SBC team will take care of everything else associated with the sale of your items. Our extensive advertising, and organization will help ensure that your items will sell! The SBC team will sort your items at the end of the sale, making pick up smooth and quick. As a Second Blessings consignor you will receive 70% of the selling price of your items. A participation fee will be taken out of your final sales. If you choose to volunteer at least one 3-hour work shift during the week of the sale your participation fee is $5, otherwise your participation fee will be $15.

Many of our consignors do choose to volunteer with us. To say thank you for helping us out during the week of the sale our volunteers are given the opportunity to shop first! More details regarding volunteer guidelines can be found under the "Volunteers" tab above.

We accept all forms of new and gently used children's items. We will not rack items that have stains, tears, excess wear, piling, or heavy smoke smell, etc. The SBC team will be carefully inspecting each individual item that comes in during drop off, so please avoid bringing any items that you wouldn't consider purchasing yourself. Keep in mind that this is NOT A GARAGE SALE. Our guidelines enable us to maintain a high quality sale for all. As we prepare to consign our personal items we make 3 piles; throw away pile (holes, stains, etc.) give away pile (cheaper items or items that aren't in excellent condition) and consign pile (nicer items in excellent condition). Keep this in mind as you prepare your items.

Want to participate??? Follow these steps below to become a consigner:

    My Consignment Manager will be used to register consignors. You will need to set up a user account by clicking on REGISTER NOW. This will allow you to get your consignor number and then begin creating your tags for your items.
  2. PREP and Tag
    Prepare your items in a way that they are presented as well as possible. Items that are ironed will sell better than those that aren't. If you have accessories intended for a specific outfit, use a Ziploc bag to keep them secure. The bag can then be hung over the hanger. See "Prep & Tagging" for more specific details.

    You must print your tags through your account with My Consignment Manager. Login, click on PRINT TAGS, choose the items to be printed, select GENERATE TAGS. Your tags will be in PDF format. Please print on white card stock paper. 60 - 67 lb. paper works the best with most printers. In Douglas, South GA Business Products will sell cardstock at an excellent price by sheet or pack. Hang all clothing on appropriate sized hangers with the hook opening to the left (like a question mark).
  3. Drop Off and Event Details
    Drop off times will be scheduled through your login with My Consignment Manager. PLEASE drop off your items at your specific drop off time. Following your drop off time insures that SBC team can adequately screen all received items and insure a quality sale. Please allow approximately 15 minutes for drop off. Drop off will go smoothly if everyone follows their drop off time AND items are hung correctly and sorted by gender and size. If your items are not hung properly we will have a table available for you to make corrections.
  4. ATTEND THE PRE-SALE! (Shop times vary based on volunteer shifts.)
    Hopefully all of your items will sell, but if any remain they should be picked up at the sale location at the designated time. See EVENT DETAILS for more information on pick up. Any items that have not been picked up after the designated times will be promptly donated to local charities. All checks will be ready for you during the designated pick up. If you do not come to pick up your check it will be mailed the week following the sale.
